Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox will star in IM Global thriller “The Autopsy of Jane Doe,” the independent film studio announced on Friday.
IM Global’s genre division, Octane, will fully finance the film being directed by by Andre Øvredal (“Trollhunter”) and written by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing, who made the 2013 Black List for their work.
Cox and Hirsch will play father and son coroners who receive a mysterious homicide victim with no apparent cause of death. As they attempt to identify the beautiful young “Jane Doe,” they discover increasingly bizarre clues that hold the key to her terrifying secrets.
Fred Berger and Eric Garcia will producer under their Impostor Pictures banner alongside Rory Aitken and Ben Pugh of 42, while IM Global CEO Stuart Ford will executive produce with colleagues Matt Jackson and Ben Shields Catlin.
Production on the thriller will begin in London at the end of the month.
The deals were negotiated by Deborah Zipser on behalf of IM Global, and Nick Miller from Aslan Charles Kousetta Law out of the U.K.; by UTA and Sloane, Weber, Offer, and Dern for Emile Hirsch; and by David Lillard of Paradigm for Brian Cox.
